Part of the Solana BreakPoint Convention in Lisbon, event producer Brownys created a go-kart rally in an underground parking garage in the center of the city. Meant to provide an exciting and highly entertaining element for visitors, partners and sponsors of the convention. We were challenged to create this complex hybrid event in an unusual location with limited (build up) time and dependency on local teams. It was crucial that the sport/competition element came across in an exciting and professional way. Dealing with many unknown factors such as will the neon lighting be sufficient, how fast will the race actually be, and will it be entertaining enough? While giving the viewers a clear view of what is happening in each curve of the circuit and who is ranking on top.
We took care of both the livestream and the on site viewing, making sure that both type of viewers had the best view of the action. We created the show as a high quality racing event.
P roductionally we had a lot of back and forth with the local teams about technical and planning information and prepared multiple scenarios to be ready for anything. We used real time driver tracking and result updates, custom on air graphics, replay and slow motion features and created on the spot highlight reels to give the show a completely professional feel and look. This was the most remarkable and complex event we have ever done and the result was an incredibly slick looking, fun to watch show that the client and viewers raved about.
