We Are Live has been TEDxAmsterdam’s founding partner since 2008. Every year we create a fully strategic content plan to feed the information and entertainment need of the online audience. Because of the close collaboration between We Are Live and TEDxAmsterdam the live streams and context content are brought to a next level. The lighting, stage set-up, camera set-up and programming are all set-up in collaboration to optimize the live stream. Our goal: Reaching a large international audience and having TEDxAmsterdam talks being selected by Ted.com. And we’ve achieved that goal almost every year.
Knowing full well that content is the most important ingredient for a live stream, We Are Live advised TEDxAmsterdam on how the choices made in the event’s setup would affect the live stream and what context content would meet the online audience’s needs. This resulted in more than just a live stream, it became a creative integrated video production. Including interview videos with speakers, guests and sponsors feeding the audience’s curiosity, the event as a whole was brought to the audience, making them part of TEDxAmsterdam. And, to maximize the effectivity everything was shot, edited and uploaded during or within hours after the event, including an aftermovie.

The Next Web
The Next web organizes the leading international conference for technology and business innovation. With 20,000 visitors in two days, 5 stages, 3 live and 2 recorded, and high profile speakers, they wanted a video partner that meets their need for innovation and maximized the experience for the 30,000 people watching online. The live stream is a service for the people that can’t make it physically and is an important marketing tool to persuade people to visit the following year. We Are Live has produced their video content since 2013.
With live stream on one side and VOD on the other an innovative content platform that suited their brand and serviced their online audience was created. We Are Live set up the platform with live stream, narrowcasting and on-demand video.This resulted in a video series that covered the entire event and fed the information hungry tech audience with all the information they desired… and then some. We did 18 hours of live stream covering three stages, 1 live tv talk show format and 46 hours of content video divided over: 122 edited talks, 8 summaries of the best speakers, 8 backstage interviews, 8 in depth interviews, 4 reports on the most disruptive and innovative products and 2 sharp kids interviewing big time CEO’s. And everything uploaded during and right after the event.

Vilans – W&T
Dignity and pride. That’s what this two day congress evolved around. Dignity for the people living in long term health care and pride for the people who work in the field. In this government initiated project, with the latest news and need-to-know information from high profile speakers like the Secretary-General of Health, Welfare and Sport and interviews with innovators, the need for video registration was high. Our goal: share need-to-know content with people in the healthcare field and document the healthcare innovations with relevant on demand video. Showing results, ideas and inspiration to connect people and add to dignity and pride in the field.
During the daily opening We Are Live recorded talks of high profile speakers, after which we edited them to entire talks and immediately uploaded them to Youtube. To complete the full pallet of video content We Are Live recorded interviews and coached the interviewees for optimal results. The workshops and other elements of the congress were recorded and edited into the aftermovie, making the aftermovie a complete summary of the event. The aftermovie was shown at the closing BBQ on the second day.
